Origin: Turkey. Taking its name from the city in south-central Turkey around which it is grown, mara_ (pronounced 'marash') chilli exhibits a bright, fruity, fresh pepperiness. Its complex flavour & medium heat accompanies many dishes from seafood to steak to vegetables. When added during cooking, mara_ chilli adds a gentle, lingering heat.
